| The movement of animals between countries
may involve many animal health and welfare issues, and
usually comes under the control of several government
authorities in both countries including national Customs,
Quarantine and Transport Departments as well as regional
agricultural / veterinary agencies.
Our staff have knowledge and expertise in managing
animal welfare issues and meeting health requirements
of the various agencies. It is important that the
needs of the animals are met and that they arrive
in good condition at their destination.
It is probable that animals moving from one country
to another may experience new diseases or climatic
conditions. We are also able to advise on and supervise
this process, including the development of vaccination
protocols.
Losses are sometimes experienced when inappropriate
livestock are selected for introduction into a second
country. We can assist with this process, and participate
in the selection process at all stages.
